Paradise Kiss
パラダイス キス
Last two nights, I watched a great movie. I want to post its
review soon, but accidentally I lost the review that I had typed. The movie is
Japanese movie entitled Paradise Kiss. It is adapted from a Manga in the same
title written by Ai Yazawa. The Manga also had already been adapted to an Anime
before. Pardise Kiss movie version is directed by Takehiko Shinjo , and
released by Warner Bross on June 4th 2011 in Japan. The main casts
are Keiko Kitagawa as Yukari ‘Caroline’ Hayasaka and Osamu Mukai as Jouji ‘George’
Koizumi.
The story is about a senior high school student, Yukari
Hayasaka. She will have her national examination soon. She had ever failed in
national examination once. She does not want to fail anymore and let her mother
down. So that she studies very hard. However, the result of her work is not
like what she and her mother expected. One day in her way home, she meets a guy,
Arashi Nagase. He is a fashion design student. Looking at his appearance, wears
earrings and has tattoo, she becomes afraid. She runs, but unfortunately she
falls and loses her conscious. Arashi and his friend, Isabella, bring her to
their studio. When she wakes up, Miwako, Arashi’s another friend, tells her
that Arashi would not hurt her. He just keeps his eye on her because they want
her to be their model for their graduation fashion show. Yukari refuses the
offer instantly. She says that she have to study for the test and has no time
to play with them. Those words make Arashi mad. He asks her to say sorry.
Suddenly, George enters the studio. He makes Yukari quite shock.
The next day, she asks her classmate that is also someone
whom she loves, Hiroyuki Tokumori whether he has met someone who make him
afraid just by seeing his face or someone that he believes will mess his life.
Before he can answer, George has been in her classroom standing in front of her.
He forces her to come with him to his school, and then asks his teacher to
change her hair style. The next day, it is Isabella turn to pick her up at her
school. She, actually he, does it because George asks to do so. Yukari has
skipped her class for two days. This makes her teacher mad and tells her that
they are not good friends for her. If she keeps staying around them, she will
fail in her test. Instead of going away from those people, her teacher threat
makes her want to be their friend.
She has agreed to be the model, but her mother had hired a
tutor to help her study. This means she will study without rest. She will not
able to help George and his friend. She does not want it happens. She asks her
mother to allow her help her friend first then study hard after that. Her
mother is mad and slaps her. Yukari then goes out of her home. George offers
her a room at his house. George also helps her to get a job as a model for magazine.
Live together makes them falling in love each other, but none
of them show their feeling. Several days before the show, Yukari call home. Her
brother picks it up. She asks her brother to tell that she call to invite her
mother to the show. The day has come and she is nervous. She cannot walk
properly in the stage when they do the preparation. At first, George fells
disappointed, but then he tells her that she just have to walk on her own foot
and for herself not for others. She does not have to walk straight; she can
make a turn as long as it is for her sake and on her own path. She walks in the
stage beautifully. Every people give her applause. However, they just get the
second place.
Yukari’s mother attends the show. She proud of her and ask
her to come home. Tokumori also asks her for a date. George knows about it and
helps her to find perfect dress. Yukari confuse because of his attitude. She
asks why he enjoys preparing her to have a date with another guy. George will
go to Paris soon and Yukari has known about it. This is the reason why he
cannot confess his love. Several days later George goes to Paris.
Three years later Yukari has become a very popular model. She
misses George so much. She wants to be with him. When she goes to New York,
accidentally she sees Isabella. She gets an address from her. Isabella said
George and her moved to New York last year. She goes there and finds a lot of
magazine with her face on cover. George always loves her and keeps his eyes on
her.
I really like this movie. The rank is 9 from 10. The
soundtrack is also cool. The title is Hello by YUI.As usual, YUI’s voice is
amazing. I hope you all can watch it.
