This
is not an animation version of Romeo and Juliet, which is written by William
Shakespeare, but the story is nearly same. Characters are gnomes. They are
Gnomeo- blue gnome from Montague garden (voice of James McAvoy), Juliet- red
gnome from Capulet garden (voice of Emily Blunt), Lord Redbrick- red gnome
leader, Juliet father (voice of Michael Caine), Lady Bluebury-blue gnome
leader, gnomeo mother (voice of Maggie Smith). This animation is released by
Touchstone and Rocket Pictures on February 11, 2011. This is a quite good
animation, so from one to ten, I give it 8.
Montague and Capulet have been in war for a long time. One day, Juliet asks her father wheatear she can go out to pick orchid. Her father doesn’t give permission. On the night, she goes out. She wears black sock-the house owner sock, so no one will know who she is. Gnomeo is in his way home when Juilet pass. Gnomeo follows her quietly. Both of them want to get the orchid, so they fight for it. At this moment Gnomeo doesn’t know Juliet hat color and Juliet doesn’t know Gnomeo hat color. They fall in love each other.
Suddenly,
wood where they stand break. They fall into a pool, so they can see their color.
Juliet is really surprised. She ran
away.
How
will the story end? Will it be like Romeo and Juliet? Are they going to die
because their love is not permitted by parents? You should find the answer by
watching this movie. I have to say that the story is entertaining although it
is lack of humorous material.
I
like this animation because it is 3D and its relation with Romeo and Juliet
makes me wonder how it will end. I think this movie can be watched by all
children or teenagers. There is not any age limitation.
